Event: A Graffiti for Venezuela, Freedom and Peace
Art for freedom and peace
Venezuelan artistic creators will ride on a Creative Truck through the streets of Wynwood, painting in support and solidarity for democracy in Venezuela.
Next Saturday, July 15th, a group of Miami-based artistic creators will join the cause “A graffiti for Venezuela.” The purpose is to draw attention to the social, economical, political, and cultural crisis that Venezuela is now living. At the same time, they will accept donations and funds to be sent to people in the country.
A truck will become an alternative communication channel to promote solidarity and awareness on the streets of Miami. Also, the creators will share information about the next consultative poll driven by different Venezuelan political organizations to be held on Sunday, July 16th.
Among the artistic creators are Rolando Peña, Nina Dotti, Iván De Lucía, Muu Blanco, José Cosme, Joseph Smart, Pietro Daprano, Alejandra Romero, Domingo De Lucía and Luli Love. This intervention of a public space is for the organizers a strategy of visibility and mobility, as well as reporting and complaining about the threat to freedom that Venezuela lives nowadays.
This action will take place on Saturday 15th, 2017, from 6:00 pm at the Parking in The Wynwood Building. A graffiti for Venezuela will share a message of freedom and peace through a “creative truck” that will lead a caravan of solidarity, peace, and democracy through Wynwood streets.
The intervention is intended for all community in Miami. A graffiti for Venezuela is part of the different creative protests globally performed to demand the right to a participatory democracy in Venezuela.
Also, people will learn about the approved spots for the popular consultation of next Sunday, July 16th, and it will begin the program of permanent humanitarian aid HELP VENEZUELA. www.helpvenezuela.us
